Connecting Brains is a continuous community project that explores the ideas of connectivity between humans and the world around us. It began as a self exploration into whether art is able to assist with mental health improvement, as a therapy. Having found personal success it seemed a natural progression to share with others. This took the form of live paintings and the facilitation of art workshops all around the world.

The concept behind the Connecting Brains series is that whilst using both hands simultaneously to paint, you force your brain to work in conjunction between both hemispheres and sides of the body. By making the rational, logical left side and the creative, emotional right side work in harmony, we set off an immediate chain reaction. When we make decisions in unison with heart and mind we can approach the world and its conflicts in a more healthy and balanced mindset. This in turn sets off another union between the emotional and intellectual.

Science teaches us that we are all connected and share the same fibers of life running through our cells. But much like how a cancer grows when a cell separates itself from the rest of the body, society creates its own cancerous cells in the act of individuality. My mission is to bring light to this pattern and return us to the Global Brain Consciousness State where we realize our oneness, feel connected, and take responsibility for ourselves and our actions. These all have a rippling effects that have led us to the current challenging time in humanity. The symbolic, androgynous faces represent all of us. Each one has its own particular characteristic and role in the web of civilization. Each face represents a cell in our body and a person in society.  We are all part of a tapestry and each one of us holds the fibers together.
